Back to Reality

Actually, I think you don't ever really leave reality when you go on vacation with a baby. It's not as if Baby Girl is suddenly able to change her own diaper, but it was still fun to actually go somewhere and have family time.

Vacation started the day of my birthday and we spent the day at the beach. We then left for San Diego where we went to Sea World and the next day we went to the beach for a bit in Oceanside and then spent the afternoon lounging at the hotel. After that we were home for about a day in a half before heading out to Big Bear. We went out on the lake, hiked, and then just rested. Unfortunately, vacation is ending not as well as it started. Pastor Husband has a horrible ear infection going on at the moment. He has been to see the doctor three times and each time comes home with a stronger antibiotic. The last doctor gruffly said to him that if he still doesn't feel any relief by Monday to see an ENT. Poor guy.

Baby Girl had a good time...I'm not sure she got the idea that we went to look and watch animals, but the few times she did focused she did get excited. Shamu taught her how to clap so now she claps all the time. Also, the last couple of weeks she learned the "m" and "b" sound and is babbling like crazy. At one point I put her down for a nap and she talked for about a half hour before falling asleep. She has just changed so much so quickly and in 14 days she will be a year old! It's so incredible. I saw a pin on Pinterest and it said that if you don't believe in miracles you should because you are one. Getting pregnant, carrying the baby, birthing a baby, and watching that baby grow is the ultimate miracle.
