Getting Ready for the 4th

We're going to our first Galaxy game this season tomorrow!!! That's how we're celebrating the Fourth of July and in honor of tailgating tomorrow I decided to make some banana & chocolate chip muffins.

Here's what you need:

  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2 large)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips

  • Preheat Over: 350 degrees

    Step One
Mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

    Step Two
Mix together the ripe bananas, egg, melted butter, and milk.

    Step Three
Blend together the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients. Don't overmix. Then add the chocolate chips

    Step Four
Fill up your muffin tin - this makes 1 dozen muffins. Fill them up about 3/4 full. I did not keep this uniformed and now I have some short ones and some tall ones, but they taste yummy so I'm not complaining.

Ready to be thrown into the oven!
Just like people, these muffins come in all shapes and sizes.
